attentionreturn 400The James Harron Bloodstock team were in celebration mode at Doomben on Saturday when stunning looking Stratum colt Attention scored his second stakes victory when saluting in the Group II BRC Sires Produce Stakes.

Trained by Peter and Paul Snowden, Attention won the Group III ATC TL Baillieu Handicap back in March and showed his class again when winning the 1350 metre contest by a neck.

AttentionAttentionWinning rider Blake Shinn was impressed with Attention.

"His got a great mannerism about him,” Shinn said. "He takes everything in his stride and that gives me great confidence going to the 1600m.”

The mile Shinn refers to is the $600,000 Group I JJ Atkins (1600m) to be run at Eagle Farm in a fortnight.

"I love my horses’ determination,” Shinn said. "He’s got that will to win and that will only give him confidence going forward.”

The Snowden camp could have two colts in the James Harron Bloodstock colours representing the Golden Slipper winning stable with Attention likely to be joined by Sebring colt Acatour, which finished an unlucky third over 1400m at Randwick earlier in the day.

"Attention is heading the right way,” Paul Snowden said. "He’s thriving up here in the warmer weather and today’s effort has really franked that.

"The option is there for Acatour to come up as well. Obviously we’ll talk it over with the owners but he’ll probably come up for it.”

Attention as a yearlingAttention as a yearlingA $620,000 Inglis Easter purchase for James Harron Bloodstock from the Highgrove Stud draft, Attention was the most expensive yearling by his sire sold in 2015 and is in fact his most expensive yearling ever.

Attention has two wins and two seconds from six starts with prizemoney topping $300,000 and is a full brother to Group II placed filly Flamboyant Lass.

He is the second winner for Flamboyance, a half-sister by Snowland to Group III winner Pasikatera, the dam of stakes-winner Planet Voyage.

Further back it’s the family of dual Group I winner Tempest Morn and this season’s Group II winning juvenile Good Standing and Group III winning filly Tempt Me Not.

Highgrove Stud sold the current yearling from Flamboyance, a striking chestnut colt by Snitzel, at Inglis Easter for $750,000 to Spendthrift Australia.

Flamboyance has a weanling filly by Stratum and was covered by Snitzel last spring.
