Written Tycoon Book Full
Woodside Park Stud in conjunction with Inglis Digital have announced an exclusive opportunity to secure a nomination for the 2016 breeding season to the hottest sire in Australasia, WRITTEN TYCOON, whose book has been declared full.
The 2016 service fee of $49,500 inc. GST was announced by Woodside late last week and his book is already closed just a few days later.
"It’s hardly surprising that we have been inundated, as Written has firmly established himself in the elite category of stallions this season, siring two individual Group One winning two-year-olds in a fortnight, including the Golden Slipper winner Capitalist,” said Matt Tillett of Woodside Park Stud.
In a first for the Australian Thoroughbred Industry, Inglis Digital’s Everyday Auction platform available via Bloodstock.com.au, will auction the FINAL FIVE nominations to Written Tycoon for 2016.
"Nick Melmeth from Inglis Digital approached us a month ago and suggested an online auction of a few Written Tycoon noms would be an idea worth considering. He explained the online platform is rapidly growing and it would be an opportunity for both the breeders and us,” explained Tillett.
"Even though Written has extraordinary fertility, we want to look after him, so we have limited his book to an exclusive 125 ‘outside’ mares for now," added Tillett."The ownership syndicate have approved an additional five noms to be auctioned in May-June to give all the breeders who have missed out an opportunity to secure a nom to the Super Stallion.”
Users will have a period of five days to bid on each listed nomination from Monday morning through to 7pm the following Friday night. Payment terms will be as per Woodside's standard nominations contract.
This offering is available to all breeders, however bidding can only be done byregistered users of the "Everyday Auction” platform.
