Much missed champion sire Redoute's Choice posted his first Northern Hemisphere bred Group I winner in Germany on Sunday with four year-old gelding Danceteria won the Group I Grosser Dallmayr-Preis at Munich for owners that include Australian Bloodstock in whose colours he runs.
Conceived in France during the second of two shuttle seasons for Redoute's Choice to the Northern Hemisphere, Danceteria scored a length and a quarter win in the 1m2f contest taking his overall record to seven wins from 16 starts.
Trained by David Menuisier, Danceteria ihas been in top form this year winning the Group III La Coupe Stakes at Longchamp two starts ago and coming into this race off a brave fourth to Enable in the Group I Coral-Eclipse Stakes at Sandown.
A half-brother to stakes-winner Blossomtime, Danceteria is the best of five winners from stakes-winner Bal de la Rose,a half-sister to Group I winner and leading sire Lope de Vega.
Danceteria is the 35th Group I winner worldwide for Arrowfield Stud's legendary sire Redoute's Choice, who died earlier this year.
